MassTox® reagent kit for the analysis of antidepressants and neuroleptics in serum/plasma #92000

We have reached the mile stone and finally the MassTox® Kit will be available for shipment when the Medica fair starts. Thus, we will have our product portfolio extended further beyond the immunosuppressants calibrators into TDM by mass spectrometry. The new analysis is compatible with serum and plasma samples. One kit is good for 200 injections. Controls are based on plasma, at the same time they are suitable for running alongside serum controls. According to our new naming, these controls receive the designation "MassCheck®"  (such as "MassCheck® Antidepressants Plasma Control I"). These controls are validated for use with tandem mass spectrometry. The kit contains a lyophilised internal standard that needs to be reconstituted from two components. These two components are NOT available separately.

The reagent kit is designed to be the basic module for a range of TDM analyses by means of mass spectrometry. At the moment, this range consists of antidepressants and neuroleptics; that shall grow in the future. Depending on what the customer selects as to start-up accessories, he can customise his kit according to his own needs.

As opposed to our kits for amino acids and acylcarnitine analysis, this TDM kit does require the use of an analytic separation column. We offer two different tuning mixes, one for antidepressants, another for neuroleptics. The column, as is the case for the two different tuning mixes, too, is NOT included in the reagent kit and needs to be ordered separately.

We have developed new calibrator sets for this new mass spectrometry analysis. The new 3PLUS1® Multilevel Calibrator Sets are composed of three calibrator levels and one blank value. In this case these are the 3PLUS1® Multilevel Plasma Calibrator Set Neuroleptics #92028 and the 3PLUS1® Multilevel Plasma Calibrator Set Antidepressants #92029. The customer needs to order these sets separately from the reagent kit since it had not made sense including both in it (we do not know beforehand what people measure). The new 3PLUS1® Sets are delivered in a totaly new box with a layout specific to this product. The new three-point-calibrator sets are a very suitable response to current trends in clinical diagnostics and -together with the 6PLUS1® Sets- belong to the class of Chromsystems mulitlevel calibrator sets.
